Through our CSR initiatives, we strive to address global environmental problems, while contributing towards the development of our society with programs such as Tree Plantation Drive, Tata Volunteering Week and more.
On World Environment day, the CSR team started a plantation drive inside the Tarapur plant as well as outside the area of operation.
Our CSR team, along with the Environment Department, organised a ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ at various locations including the plant premises. We planted over 5000 trees saplings at various location of Dahanu and Palghar Block. We witnessed enthusiastic participation from our CSR volunteers, professors and students as they planted saplings in schools, college premises and other areas in the village.
The drive included various species of plants including Silver Oak, Neem, Karanj, Saptaparni and Kesar Mango among others. The team also held activities to raise awareness about environment concerns and the impact of the plantation drive. They also shared information on the significance of the species of trees planted. The purpose of this initiative was to promote and protect the green cover in the nearby areas and the state.
As part of TVW, TSGW organised various initiatives under the key focus area of Education, Health, and Livelihoods. In TVW 8 & 7, team achievements include volunteering 700+ hours with over 100+ volunteers participating across the plant.
